Can a Lawyer Represent Both Parties in a Divorce? – Video FAQ

Individual Attorneys

Video Transcription

In New Jersey, the two parties can not be represented by one attorney. It requires that each of you have your own attorney, that you’re represented in a way so that you’re sure what your legal rights are, your obligations are, and you can feel that someone is there to advocate just for you. So again, you need your own attorney, and your spouse needs an attorney.
